I've got a question. I was doing my Christmas shoping and I heard 1973 come on and then it turned out to be a woman singing it! Does anyone know who has done a cover of 1973?
Thanks
Toothy

1973- Unplugged! Thanx for posting Laulie! Never heard this version before.
This song sounds groovy unplugged! I love to hear the guitar and the perfect voice of James in this version! Yes, his voice sounds perfect...

How nice is this! Someone using the 1973 lyrics to reach English grammar.

Thanks Laulie. I love this version.
I would be ready to study English for the rest of my life with James' songs!

This is probably the most fragile link I've ever seen, but I'm doing an English assignment where I need to research Gram Parsons. He died in 1973, Poco wrote a song on their memorial Gram Parsons album called 'Here we go again', it has themes of partying and excess use of substances (which is what killed Gram) and lines like 'your journey's been etched on your skin' and 'wish I had known that what seemed so strong has been and gone' all help me think that there might just be a connection between the two.
Anyone concur with me, or am I just crazy???

| Dorian Gray girl, not sure if you are on the boards now under another name, what a fascinating post! I just want to say. The saying that ignorance is bliss, a little bit like fashions, they come and go, they make people feel really excited and have fun for a while, the majority way rules in many areas of life, politics, religion and so on, the truth for some reason appears to have a different course, how helpful and interesting thank you a great help to my tired mind, you gave me a tonic.....
