I can't change my avatar, I have this message of error when I tried!

I wanted to update my photo but couldn't either, so just changed my username again, hope everyone likes this one

It may just be a coincidence, but I've noticed that when the avatar option is enabled, something on the website seems to break.
For example:
The boards worked without the avatar setting. Then people wanted to change their avatar, so Tech Support gave us that option.
It was around that time we had the "Site Error Detected" warning message appear.
When alerted, Tech Support fixed the Site Error message. Now the avatar option has been disabled again.
It lead me to think that with so many avatars being changed frequently, it may be slowing the boards down or breaking them. I may be wrong though..

Perhaps properly working forum is better option than possibility to change avatar, at least for me 
|

I don't know what is happening with the avatar, I don't want to change it, but my friend, who is new here wants to do it, so can be fixed??
