There was a big debate about James age on the old message board.
A good 90% of info i have come across say he was born 22 feb 1974 and just a few say 22 feb 1977. Celebrities are under alot of pressure to look and stay young to keep their career active. Age shouldn't matter as we all have to grow old sometime.

| I have just been watching 4 music show which was on channel 4 in the UK recently. And the guy who introduced James. Said his real name and that he was born in 1974. Although James did make a joke later in the interview that he was born in the early 1980s which made the guy who was interviewing him laugh.

Blunt was born in Tidworth, Wiltshire, England in 1974. His parents are Charles and Jane Blount. He was educated at Elstree School, Woolhampton, then Harrow School (Elmfield House). From Harrow School he gained an army sponsored place at Bristol University, before finally completing his education at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Blunt's father was a Colonel in the British Army Air Corps, and his family has a long history of military service. The Blount family is also known to have owned and restored Cley Windmill.
Blunt was then a commissioned officer in the Life Guards regiment, a unit of the Household Cavalry of the British Army. He rose to the rank of Captain and served as an armoured reconnaissance officer in the NATO peacekeeping force in Kosovo. He was put in charge of leading 30,000 troops into Priština as the first British officer to enter the Kosovan capital.[1] It was while on duty in Kosovo that he wrote the song "No Bravery". He also stood guard at the coffin of the Queen Mother during the days of her lying in State and was part of the funeral procession on April 9, 2002.

Age is just a number to me. I don't feel my age, never have. I always tease my parents that they got my birth year wrong. My hubby is four years younger than me and I act younger than him. People often are surprised when I tell them my age so looks can be deceiving. They think I am younger.
I do think James is 33 years old. One day maybe we'll really know his true age.

Hils...I think there are very few people who don't believe he was born in 1974. It's become such a long-standing joke at this stage, you can't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of the back and forth between 1974 and 1977.
For some reason....this continues to be a source of debate, so we all like to have a little fun with it.

| Ahh, age is just a number. James looks so young, so i'd say 29, but i guess, i know how old is he. But as i sayd already, age is just a number and i really don't care how old is James.

I'm not completely convinced by the birth certificate. I don't know his mother's maiden name. Wasn't there some story about a complete stranger getting stalked because they associated him with James? I used to think he was born in 1974 but now he comes across as younger so I believe he's 30. Maybe he really is getting younger each year & will eventually reach 19.
Even better, maybe by some cosmic improbability there are two versions of James Blunt one who is 33 & the other is only 30. Has he ever been in two places at once ?

33 Born 1974, he was a little twinkle in 1973.
33 is a great age, nobody should have to defend their age. You are what you feel. I am still 21 in my head, my body tells me different. Hey what the hell, lifes too short.

?old as dirt huh? LOL! Some days I'm still 33 in my imagination, with two young children and reality hasn't set in yet. Back when picking up 20 somethings was still possible.
